Lamination

Lamination:

When printing any online business cards or flyers you will often be asked if you want lamination. What is lamination? And how will it affect the product? Lamination is the process of manufacturing a material in multiple layers, so that the paper material achieves improved strength, stability, water resistance, appearance or other properties from the use of differing materials. Paper lamination is mainly done by heated roller treatment. Heated rollers are used to melt glue extruded onto lamination film. This works similar to a mangle and is pressed to the card or paper giving it the desired finish. SayPrint offer lamination on both online business cards and leaflets / flyers.

The standard lamination types are Gloss or Matt but some companies also offer silk and soft touch lamination. Lamination always gives the impression of quality, but it’s not often expensive. Many companies will charge a small premium for the extra lamination leaving your business cards or flyers looking and feeling amazing.

Image Resolution Help:

www.sayprint.com
Resolution, often referred to as dpi, is a technical way of determining the definition of a picture or image. The higher the dpi the more dots the image contains per inch. The printing  industry standard for image resolution is 300dpi and it is always advisable to upload photos or images in 300dpi. Most digital cameras take photos in 300dpi so uploading these images will always give  you the best results. Images found online can often be 72dpi which is of low quality and will not look crisp when printed. Here is a more detailed guide on SayPrint.

Online Business Card Design: 3 Top Business Card Printing Tips:

1) Always include any industry affiliations or logos.
When producing your online business cards with Sayrint, always remember to include any industry affiliations or logos. This often helps to show you are a solid and trustworthy company. The same applies for any qualifications or awards you may have won. Your potential client will judge your company on the business card and accreditations will help.

2) Use the space on the back of your business card
Many business cards are only printed single sided. For a small charge printing companies like SayPrint will also print on the back. This gives you valuable retail space for more advertising or information about your company.

3) Use good quality card
Some of the cheaper printing companies use thin card or even paper. Don’t be fooled by free business card offers or massive too good to be true discounts. Check the paper weight and if it includes lamination. Any card above 300gsm will be useable and matt lamination always helps make the card feel quality and protected.

Using Online Business Cards to Promote Your Firm

When it comes to company cards, you need to be certain your design stands out from the rest.

A business card is a vital marketing tool as it lets people know who you are, what you do, and how to find you. It acts as a mini-brochure and, if you are in the home improvement and redecorating industry, it is a fantastic way to get your message across and let people know the services you provide.

For instance, you may be an interior designer specialising in contemporary interiors and want people to know where to find you. It could be you specialise in fabrics and upholstery and need to get your name known. Or perhaps you are a painter or decorator and want to get more trade in your local area.

With the use of SayPrint to create your business cards online, advertising your trade has never been easier. Just make sure that you include all your contact details including: landline, mobile and website address and the hours you work. And if there is a particular area you specialise in, make sure you put this on your card.

If you are in the home improvement and decorating industry, you may want to choose a double sided business card.  If this is the case, you can use the back for customer testimonials, to specify you qualifications, and to state whether you are a member of a local or national organisation. Another way to use this side of a business card is to offer discounts for new customers.

You can even add a photograph, logo, or an inspiring quote or comment on the front of your card. We have dozens of templates for the home improvement and decoration industry which you can alter in any way you want to achieve the most striking design for your company.

We know that you want your card to project the best possible image. This is why we print on the highest quality 350 silk card; you can also select the finish and have your card matt or gloss laminated. Our aim is to produce dazzling business cards to bring you the results you need.

Online Business Cards for the Home Improvement Industry

Homeowners will always have a need for home improvements and decoration and one of the reasons is because it increases the value of a property. However, even for those not intending to sell, it improves the look of a home and adds to the comfort of those who live there.

In the UK alone, people spend a staggering £27 billion on home improvements, and this can include anything from painting and redecorating to updating a kitchen or bathroom or adding new flooring.

With so many householders wanting to revamp their home, using SayPrint to design and create your online business cards is a great way to take advantage of this spending and get your name known in the local area.

Home improvements help people fulfil their dreams of creating a beautiful, relaxed interior they will enjoy spending time in.  Using our online service gives you a low cost, effective way to design your business cards so you can target these potential customers.

Choosing Your Business Card Design

With the wide selection of business cards to choose from, it is important to choose the one that best fits with your company image. It may be that you want an amusing anecdote to make your business card stand out above the rest. Or perhaps you want a glossy card with a glamorous design to target high end customers?

One of the things that you should bear in mind is to avoid cluttering your business cards with too much wording. Instead, your business card should be short, sharp and punchy to get your message across in the most effective way. However, do make sure you include all your contact details.

An attractive card will create impact and mean it is most likely to be filed away for later use. Just take a look through our templates to find the one that best projects your company image.

Designing an effective flyer / leaflet

How to Design an effective and useful flyer or Leaflet.

Leaflets and flyers can be a very effective way of marketing, but this all depends on the content and design. We have all been passed leaflets on the street or seen flyers on our local businesses counter. What grabs peoples attention, and what makes it successful?

A marketing campaign often relies on people taking some form of action, be that phoning a telephone number, looking on a website, or signing up to a scheme. The main focus of any leaflet is to convert as many people as possible to take this action.

Below are a few simple techniques to help you achieve a simple but effect leaflet.

The professional look:
The best way to make a leaflet stand out is to use a professional designer or template. Companies like SayPrint offer templates that you can lay the text and photo elements over. This process gives you a professional look for a fraction of the price. An unprofessional leaflet will often cause more harm than good in regards to advertising, so be careful and make sure you are giving the right image for your business.

Contrast:
Lost of people forget the basics of design and how important they impact on your potential customer. Using contrasting colours and big bold lettering grabs peoples attention. If you are promoting an offer, be short, snappy and bold for example: “50% off” “Sale Now On” “Click Here”.

Text Style:
Begin with forming an attention grabbing title or headline. Make sure you don’t use long drawn out sentences, remember this isn’t a novel or literacy exercise. Try and use bullet points to capture peoples attention and get straight to the point. Use power words like “avoid” “free” “money” “fast” “new” “deal” “offer”, These words are known to grab peoples attention when used alone or in a group of text.

Images:
its a cliché but a picture says a thousand words. Make sure all pictures are as professional or clean as possible. Customers want to feel you are well organised, so poorly lit pictures from a camera phone will not give the right impression.

A call to action:
What do you want the reader to do next? Each business will be different, but the same principles apply. Make it simple and easy for the reader and never be passive inviting the reader to “for more information contact us on”. Instead tell them the facts and invoke a reaction for example: “buy now” “call us today” “book before date for the discount”.

Printing:
Much like design the printing is paramount in providing an image of your company. A cheap, thin flyer or leaflet gives the impression you cant afford to advertise or that you are desperate. Using lamination or gloss leaflets often helps give that plush feeling along with decent weight paper. A customer will judge your whole company on its advertising, so don’t skimp on the important stuff. Try SayPrint for great offers and extremely good quality printing.
